Armando arranged for the staff to cook and clean, also a fantastic masseuse who would come every other day. The staff was all friendly and did a great job. The food was very delicious and they prepared special meals for the kids to keep them eating. The hot tub was very warm and the pool refreshing. There were toys and floats for the kids in the pool room and plenty of towels. The accommodation provided a safe parking spot for our rental and privacy while we were in the house or around the pool. Casa Zen had a nice little restaurant at the end of the block, “cafe Monica” and a restaurant/bar around the corner called “Neptuno”. Between the two is a convenience store that has most everything you could need, if you choose not to have Armando bring it for you. You can walk to the beach or the main road in town in about 5-7 minutes if you don't stop to pet the horses along the way!

We loved our weeklong stay here. The place looks just like the photos. The pool and jacuzzi are great additions to the ocean swimming a ten-minute walk away (or a couple-minute golf cart ride if you choose to rent one). The neighborhood is fairly quiet, especially compared to locations closer to the beach where I have stayed in the past. The place feels private—a true sanctuary for family time in this lovely town. We'd love to stay here again.

Generalmente las casas tienen buenas fotos y en la realidad no están tan padres, pero en éste caso fue al revés, las fotos no le hacen justicia a la casa, ya que está muy bonita y tiene un comedor de madera y decoración nueva, todo está recién remodelado y muy limpio y nuevo, CASA ELENA está a media cuadra del mar lo cuál fue maravilloso.
Todos los días caminábamos con nuestro perrito a la playa (la casa es Pet friendly).LO DE MARCOS todavía conserva ese toque encantador de pueblito pequeño mexicano que ya muy pocas playas tienen porque se vuelven trampas para turistas con precios caros y que se apropia la gente de otros países o cadenas grandes, la gente es en su mayoría es local y muy amable, los precios son razonables y hay muchas personas que llegan con sus sombrillas, hieleras, familias y perritos a pasarla bien, el mar es una chulada porque casi no hay olas en algunas partes.
La alberca de CASA ELENA es grande para ser alberca de casa pequeña así que es excelente hasta para nadar.
Les recomiendo ampliamente hospedarse en cualquier Airbnb de Armando, la comunicación y atención fueron excelentes.
También les recomiendo venir a LO DE MARCOS respetando a los locales, siendo cordiales, limpios y no venir a hacer desorden, este lugar no es material para Spring Break, es una de las pocas playas en las que la gente de los alrededores y muchos mexicanos sin pretensión hacen uso de ella y vienen a pasar un rato agradable con sus familias, porque lamentablemente otras playas cercanas ya no son así.

I am so grateful to the Galvan Team that I was able to remodel my new house from an entirely different country and it was not only done according to my plans and requests, but beyond my expectations. When it comes to real estate in Lo de Marcos. My wife and I have used the services of Galvan Real Estate and Services to secure an appropriate rental when we were vacationing and to resolve issues with the difficult and demanding owner whose house we were renting. Anything we needed, magically appeared. Anything that went wrong was made right. We only needed to enjoy ourselves and the community.
Our experience was so good that we decided to look into buying a home. We saw several homes and when we had made a decision several months later, the Galvan team handled everything that needed to be done. We flew down two days before we were scheduled to meet with the Notario to close the deal, Galvan arranged lodging for us, took us to breakfast to discuss the process and then went with us to the closing to ensure that we understood everything that was going on. Unfortunately, we encountered another demanding owner and everyone at Galvan worked on our behalf to resolve issues.
After the closing, Galvan took us around to meet our new neighbors, helped us hire, at a very reasonable cost, a house manager, garden and pool guy and a maid to maintain our new home while we just get to enjoy it. We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa but… “only with a guys group”, but… not with young families as there are too many stairs and the pool and decks are cause for concern of kids falling over steep hill. But other than that, with “guys only” trip, I would come back. Loved the trip overall. The staff was attentive and fair. Everything went smoothly.

It was our first time in Mexico, so we were a little bit nervous and not sure what to expect. But it was all for nothing. The staff at Casa Lido was wonderfully helpful and welcoming. Linda spoke perfect English, and the rest of the staff was happy to speak “Spanglish” with us whenever we needed anything. 🙂
The villa was absolutely spotless, and they cleaned every single day that we were there, mopping from top to bottom. The maid, Isabelle (sp?) was very friendly and my mother enjoyed talking to her, even though they both were mostly doing charades. 🙂
All of our meals (we ate several in the villa) were freshly prepared and delicious. They did a nice job of providing things we were familiar with, while also introducing local flavors through sauces and side dishes. I HIGHLY recommend trying Marielu’s pancakes! The best I’ve ever had!
My favorite part of the villa was definitely the view of and proximity to the beach. We weren’t crowded by the other villas, and had a lovely unobstructed view of the ocean and the sky. Perfect for relaxing, and watching the colorful sunsets.
I can’t recommend this villa highly enough. My whole family is hoping to go back sometime in the near future.

Hi Armando,The stay at the Sayil Condo was great. We had a very nice week and really enjoyed both the pool and the beach. Everything very conveniently located, great views and nice weather.
In the Spring of 2015, I decided that I had finally had enough of Colorado winters and made a vow to spend next winter in Mexico.
Having spent many years traveling and wintering in different parts of Mexico (Baja, Yucatan, San Miguel de Allende), I was in search of a quiet place, warm, and within four days driving distance of my home.
My neighbor ,Steve, has been coming to San Pancho for many years, and he confided that he was selling his business, retiring, and moving to Mexico. He raved about the Riviera Nayarit, the scenery, the weather, and the kindness of the local people.
And so I began my search on-line . . .
I looked at many rentals from Sayulita to La Penita and nothing really clicked for me.
Too big, too expensive, too small, too busy . . . Not knowing the area, I decided to just trust my instinct that the “right place” would appear. And so I kept searching . . .
Finally, an ad appeared for what appeared to be a charming bungalow within my price range in a place called Lo de Marcos.
I immediately emailed for more information and received a quick response from Armando at Galvan Real Estate and Services with photos, pricing and information about Lo de Marcos. An auspicious beginning for what has turned out to be not only a wonderful winter but also a lasting relationship with the fine people at Galvan Real Estate.
Of course, I searched the internet for reviews of Galvan Real Estate as well as Bungalows Don Jose. I read reviews, looked at maps, and decided to book my bungalow through Galvan Real Estate. A flurry of emails between Galvan and myself included all the necessary booking information, rental agreement, answers to questions such as , “how will I get my keys?”, “is my bungalow on the second floor” and even so trite as “is there a blender in my bungalow?”
I arrived, as planned, on January 1 and drove straight to my rental, following the map and directions supplied by Armando. As I approached the office of my bungalow, the first question that greeted me was “do you have a reservation?” “Si” was my reply, “con
Galvan Real Estate”; welcoming smiles broke out from Joelle and Carlos at Bungalows Don Jose.
And thus began a new chapter in my life . . .
Four months later I am still here — waiting until the snow stops in Colorado so I can go home.
Since that time, I have weekly stopped at the office of Galvan Real Estate where I soughtassistance with a variety of questions about Lo de Marcos in general and as specific as,“will you please help me get a reservation for a weekend in Santa Maria del Oro?”When I had problems with the internet at my rental, Galvan Real Estate quickly responded to my request for assistance, contacted the manager of my rental, and the issue was quickly resolved.
Through Galvan Real Estate, I became acquainted with the weekly Tianguis de Lo de Marcos where I met friends, shopped, listened to music, and ate Ariana’s wonderful empanadas, I learned about the area from Memo’s weekly walks and discovered the beautiful river road. I got suggestions about restaurants, where to get a massage, where to get my hair cut, and finally, I got the best paint job ever for my car (including flames) from Ana’s husband and brother-in- law.
I watched Galvan’s involvement with the community, saw Armando take the very elderly woman who lives next to the Galvan Real Estate office for walks, witnessed the on-going caring, problem-solving and customer service provided through Galvan Real Estate and became aware of and later involved with the wonderful charitable organization Amigos de Lo de Marcos.
I attended the Taste of Lo de Marcos and the Fiesta 2016 both sponsored in part by Galvan Real Estate and Services.
I learned how truly special and tri-cultural this community is: Mexican nationals, Americans/Canadians and Quebecois coming together to enjoy the Fiesta de Lo de Marcos and through its raffle/silent auction, raise funds for the various projects co-sponsored by Amigos de Lo de Marcos for the local schools, senior center, the environment, and other charitable causes. When the raffle tickets were drawn, I watched Armando of Galvan Real Estate read the winning numbers in Spanish, followed by a reading of winning numbers in French and then English.
So now, after four months in Lo de Marcos, as I prepare to head home, I realize how fortunate I am to have connected with Galvan Real Estate, not just for my rental property, but for their expertise, customer service, and most importantly, the example they set in fostering friendship and caring in the community. Thank you to Armando and the exceptional Team of professionals at Galvan Real Estate in Lo de Marcos.
I’ll be back next year and will continue to recommend Galvan Real Estate for rentals and real estate in the Riviera Nayarit.
